DGM Side Event at the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues

On Monday, April 20, the DGM Global Executing Agency hosted a side event at the fourteenth session of UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. The event provided an update on the status of the mechanism and a discussion of opportunities for engagement in Indonesia, DRC, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Mexico, Peru, and Brazil.

DGM Approved by World Bank Board of Directors

On March 31, the World Bank announced that its Board of Directors approved the Dedicated Grant Mechanism for Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (DGM). The first country project, in the Cerrado region of Brazil, was also approved.
