After five years of implementation and ten years since the DGM was established, the DGM has:

  • 11 steering committees with 189 leaders from Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities across 11 DGM countries (Brazil, Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, DRC, Ghana, Indonesia, Mexico, Mozambique, Nepal, Peru and Republic of Congo)

  • 10 active projects with US$ 56.8 million in approved budgets

  • 587 approved community-led subprojects

  • More than 200,000 beneficiaries

  • Nearly 4,000 subproject proposals

  • 46% representation of women in DGM Global Steering Committee

  • 24% of subprojects awarded to women-led initiatives

  • Over 200 partnerships

  • Consistent annual and biannual engagement at international climate engagements

  • 11 regional and global learning exchanges
